The largest Italian Week in New Zealand is almost here, bringing a celebration of Italian culture, music, food, design and everything that il Bel Paese can offer in Aotearoa.
The Italian Week starts with the opening of the Italian Film Festival at the Rialto cinema on 25 September, then leads into an entire week of special Italian events throughout Newmarket.
On 29 September the Italian community of Auckland will celebrate with a big street festival in Osborne Street and Kent Street. From 11 am to 4 pm we will literally stop traffic and host al fresco restaurants and eating areas, an Italian market with over 35 stalls, and live music and entertainment with Italian MC Paolo Rotondo, Italian DJ Luca Montagni and a few surprises. This is a free and very exciting event where you can be Italian for the day and mingle with Italians who some from far and wide.
